Today I want to share with you a story of a good leader... Those who work with Mary Chew knows that she demands nothing less than 100%.. She is dedicated to her job..very hands on.. very vocal..very demanding.. but also 'turun padang'.. After 20 years of long service with Jusco.. She now holds the GM post for NBD- New Bussiness Development.. Staff who serve under her may say she is cruel at times..but regard her with respect.. and maybe fear..of not living to her expectations.. She can be pain in the ass.. but I am proud to say she deserve the award.. and I am proud to serve under her.. to be part of her dynamic team.. Being in the higher post she can sometimes iron clothes at times when there is shortage of staff.. clean plates when there was a problem with contract workers at the foodline.. mop floor at the Cheras Selatan.. when cleaners cannot be found.. do planning..listen to store problems, visit stores almost every day- (we are talking about more than 16 stores throughout Malaysia) Monitor the E-commerce department.. screen through merchandise for approval- for 8 brands.. Monitor of Smart Wonder World.. Gave a morale support when we needed.. gave us good blasting when we are heading the wrong direction.. She inspire us with her dedication, passion, eye for details and a perfectionist.. Young managers should take upon her leadership qualities to gain respect and cooperation..
